Once again it was action a-plenty at this year’s Targa NZ in November. In addition to Mitre 10 Chairman Martin Dippie taking out 3rd place overall, another Targa regular, the BuildLink sponsored Datsun 240Z piloted by Andy Mygind (see photo) was out again wowing the crowds.
The event started on a high for the classic car mounted BuildLink team, with the car and crew holding 2nd in category and 5th in Classic on the third full day around New Plymouth.
Unfortunately a clutch failure lost the team four stages and, despite the early promise, the event ended in disappointment with the team receiving the Jeff Parry Memorial Trophy for “completing the event despite adversity”.
The BuildLink Targa team would like to thank its sponsors and supporters, saying: “Even though we were not successful in competition it was one of the most successful events for the brands we support and who support us.”
