And Kaiapoi makes five in Canterbury for PlaceMakers

PlaceMakers Kaiapoi will open late 2015, taking the Canterbury store count to five.

Situated in the new industrial park on Smith Street and next to the main motorway, PlaceMakers Kaiapoi will have a 627m2 showroom; a 1306 m2 drive-through area and a 3,353m2 yard.

Landlord, Clampett Investments, has engaged Hazeldine Construction to build the store with a focus on easy access and smooth traffic flow.

Ken Jones (see photo), Cranford St Joint Venture Partner and Operator for 23 years (and serial Hardware Awards Finalist!), will head up both the existing and the new operations, with Neil Faithful managing the Kaiapoi branch.

The twin store approach enables a seamless order and pick up service for the trade customer, says Jones:

“Customers will be able to order via the telesales team and pick up from the most convenient branch. We want to make it as easy as possible for our customers to do business.”
