WHAT NEXT FOR MITRE 10’S DIGITAL STRATEGY?

Recognising the very high ongoing cost of living in, let alone leading the digital retail space these days, in an exclusive interview with NZ Hardware Journal (read it here), Mitre 10 CEO Neil Cowie says the hardware channel simply cannot afford to be left behind.

“If you are in our industry today and a digital strategy is not a part of your future – be it omni-channel, insights, mobile or data – then in the not too distant future things won’t be looking so bright.

"If you haven’t got a strategy and you haven’t got the wherewithal to invest, I think there is a risk that you might not be around,” he says pointedly.

So what’s next for Mitre 10 in that respect? Click & collect is what. The co-operative has just switched on in-store picking, network-wide, so the online customer can see stock on hand at their local store.

Everything that’s on the Mitre 10 website (now some 10,000+ lines) will be available through click & collect – that’s what we call staying ahead of the game.
