Remembering David Cartwright

By NZHJ March 31, 2016 Industry news

Toolware Sales’ co-founder and all-round hardware legend David Cartwright (seen above in 1994) passed away in early March surrounded by his loved ones.

In a communication to the trade, Aaron Bell, Toolware Sales’ Operations, Sales & Marketing Manager, paid tribute with the following: “Each of us not only grieves at the passing of a tremendous individual but also for the loss his family suffers. Needless to say, we will all miss him more than words can express.

“Our Toolware family is devastated to have lost our much loved friend, colleague and mentor. Our hearts and prayers go out to Anne, Nigel, Paul and the rest of his family in this time of sorrow.”

David succumbed to illness in the 46th year of the wholesale company he founded with Keith Thompson and Frank Teat and, on behalf of the NZ Hardware Journal team, past and present, we send out our thoughts and sorrow to his family, friends and colleagues.
