November saw this year’s top carpentry apprentices slug it out to become the Registered Master Builders CARTERS 2017 Apprentice of the Year.

The Apprentice of the Year was Vincent Hubbard from Hamilton (centre in the photo above), who’s employed by Urban Homes.

Second place went to Jack Clifford from Napier (above right), who is employed by Christie Builders & Joiners.

Third place was awarded to Logan Alderson from Manurewa (above left), who’s employed by CS Building.

All three were trained through BCITO.

The Apprentice of the Year competition is made possible thanks to BCITO and supporting sponsors MBIE and APL through its Altherm, First and Vantage brands.

Supporting the competition for the 13th year running is principal sponsor CARTERS, which, says CEO, Mike Guy, is honoured to have been a part of launching the careers of skilled apprentices for over a decade.
