The Takanini store's doors opened on 4 July, with a formal launch planned for 10 August.

PlaceMakers Takanini Branch Operator Tony McDrury says his goal is to make life as easy as possible for tradespeople working in the busy South Auckland area.

“The surrounding suburbs have been earmarked for a lot of residential growth, so we’re going to focus on helping our customers as much as we can while they work to meet that demand,” he says.

4,500+ products are available at the new site, which also includes a Mico Bathrooms showroom in-store.

The trade hall covers 1,200m2, including an expansive showroom that displays PlaceMakers paint & decor solutions with a dedicated kitchen area.

Adding to the trade-friendly set-up in a car park with 82 spaces and a 1,700mundercover drive-through manned by experienced staff.

The store will host a trade breakfast and ribbon-cutting ceremony on 10 August.

“All of our suppliers will be there and we’re inviting anyone to come along and see what we’re about,” says Tony McDrury.
