The store’s expanded garden & landscaping offering also features a drive-through bulk product and pickup area with express parking – a Mitre 10 first and possibly an NZ first.
Store owner and Mitre 10 Chairman, Martin Dippie, says the new centre is completely self-contained and has an exciting range of features.
“The garden and landscaping centre has its own entrance, checkouts and café, and is staffed by a dedicated team who have a wealth of experience in landscaping, horticulture and gardening.”
Features of the new centre include a shed village, glasshouse displays, an extended range of plants and professional gardening tools, and a drive-through bulk product area with express parking.
“We have essentially created a trade yard for landscaping and outdoor DIY supplies,” says Martin Dippie.
Interesting to note that, back in 1974 it was Martin Dippie’s father who opened Dunedin’s first drive-to garden centre.
